Qualifications:
a) A Diploma or Higher Certificate from a Hong Kong university, Hong Kong polytechnic, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Hong Kong technical college or Hong Kong technical institute, or equivalent, in subject relevant to science or engineering, or equivalent;
b) At least (1.5) years of full-time working experience in the field of food waste reduction, collection and recycling, or operation and monitoring work related to food waste recycling facilities.
c) Met the language proficiency requirements of "Level 2" or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (Note);
d) Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage;
e) Good knowledge in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Input Method (e.g. Changjie/Quick); and
f) Previous experience in Government regarding waste reduction and food waste recycling would be an advantage
Responsibilities:
a) Assist in coordination, promotion and organisation of various food waste recycling campaigns, projects and events;
b) Vet, process and monitor submissions from Contractors for various food waste recycling programmes;
c) Liaise with stakeholders (e.g. contractors, members of the public, property management companies) on installation of new version of smart food waste recycling bins and handle related enquiries;
d) Provide administrative support to food waste project management (e.g. clerical support and record management); and
e) Perform site inspection and monitoring work of smart food waste recycling bins or food waste collection facilities in public housing estates;
f) Handle and investigate complaints and enquiries related to food waste recycling in both domestic and commercial and industrial sectors;
g) Prepare statistical analysis related to food waste collection; and
h) Undertake other duties related to food waste collection and recycling as assigned by the EPD.
