Qualifications:
a) A Bachelor's Degree in design, preferably in digital media design, visual communication, or graphic design (full-time);
b) At least eight (8) years full-time relevant working experience in digital media or graphic design
c) Experience in museums or cultural institutions is highly preferable,
d) Proficiency in Macintosh Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and SketchUp Pro etc
e) Specialised proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro etc. is highly preferable;
f) Experience in desktop publishing:
g) Good command of Chinese and English;
h) Creative, self-motivated and with good communication skill;
i) Mature, able to work independently and under pressure,
j) A permanent resident of the HKSAR
Responsibilities:
a) To create animated graphics and motion effects for exhibition presentation and publicity uses;
b) To digitise images and graphic artworks into e-format interactive programmes for exhibition presentation and publicity uses,
c) To render animation files to appropriate formats for presenting in different platforms;
d) To edit, retouch and manipulate digitised images for exhibition presentation and publicity uses,
e) To simulate immersive preview for gallery layout plans. To visualise and transform 2D graphical ideas into 3D graphics for exhibition presentation by applying appropriate textures and lighting effects to 3D models;
f) To create 3D models of gallery plans by using modeling and rendering software.
g) To prepare design layouts, artwork production and printing specifications for 2D graphic outputs and publicity materials,
h) To discuss and work closely with curatorial staff and designers to develop design details,
i) To keep in schedules and be responsible for printing/production process as well as to monitor the quality control of various outputs and delivery schedule;
j) To carry out instant back and forth checking of color tone against various color matching systems for output accuracy;
k) To archive all digital files upon completion of design works for record purpose and to compile different files to prepare exhibition portfolios;
l) To perform other duties assigned by supervisors
