Venue Management and Operation Officer(LCSD 康文署)
Requirements:
- Be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and lawfully employable in Hong Kong
- Have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent
- Have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent
- Have a minimum of two (2) years’ full-time post-qualification work experience, including at least six months of which should be full-time work experience in the field of venue operations, building and facility management, programme management in performing arts venues, cultural programme offices, arts groups, museums or international conference and exhibition centres in Hong Kong
- Possess good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; (vi) Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good computer knowledge; Proficiency in MS Office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to organise work effectively, independently, observing priorities and maintaining quality
- Have good foresight, analytical power and judgement
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedules
- Fluency in spoken Mandarin is an advantage
- Possess a valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) is preferable. Candidate is expecting to obtain the Green Card within two to three months after service commencement may be considered. Consideration for acceptance will be subject to the discretion of the Government Representative
- Relevant work experience in Government-run office is an advantage
- Have relevant work experience in the field of performance business / cultural organisations / building management / marketing / event or venue management and operation / is an advantage
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Canva or Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred
Responsibilities:
- To support and oversee the progress and implementation of building management matters in relation to the Yau Ma Ti Theatre (“YMTT”) Phase 2 construction project, the refurbishment and the technical equipment upgrade projects of the YMTT and Red Brick Building (“RBB”) and liaison with relevant Government Departments / Offices and their contractors
- To assist in monitoring the performance standard of services contractors as well as their compliance with contractual obligation, including but not limited to regular building management and the fitting-in of the newly-acquired equipment
- To assist in day-to-day and ad-hoc operation matters and venue maintenance of the YMTT and RBB to ensure the building utilities and facilities are maintained satisfactorily and other service provisions are smoothly carried out
- To assist in research studies and document preparation for acquisition of goods and services for YMTT and RBB
- To support in planning and coordination of venue operations and follow-up works in preparation for the reopening of the YMTT, including work schedules and deployment and reallocation of front-of-house staff and building services management
- To assist in organising inter-departmental meetings such as arranging appointments, preparing agenda and taking minutes
- To act as duty officer for the YMTT to ensure the smooth running of all events held at the YMTT, RBB, Ko Shan Theatre New Wing and other venues as required
- To support in marketing campaign and provide logistic supports for promotional activities for YMTT and RBB as well as relevant trial-run and re-opening activities
- To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers
