Our client is a prominent global commodity trading and logistics corporation specializing in energy products, petrochemicals, and maritime fuel solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end credit assessments and financial statement analysis of trading counterparties to quantify risk exposure.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, sector analyses, and macroeconomic reports to support commercial decision-making.
- Manage data entry and integrity within the internal credit risk system, ensuring absolute compliance with corporate governance policies.
- Execute daily tracking of counterparty credit limits, aging exposures, and market news to proactively flags anomalies to the Risk Lead.
- Partner with senior risk leadership on ad-hoc portfolio stress-testing, process automation, and regional credit reviews.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a strictly quantitative discipline.
- 1 to 4 years of professional experience in credit analysis, corporate banking risk, or Big 4 auditing.
- Advanced financial modeling skills with intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel proficiency (VBA capabilities are highly valued).
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to interact with regional counterparties.
- Prior exposure to, or a strong demonstrable interest in, the oil, maritime shipping, or marine bunker markets.
- Exceptional analytical precision, ability to thrive under tight trading deadlines, and a collaborative team mindset.
