Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operational tasks related to IT procurement, including vendor communication, purchase requisition processing, and maintaining procurement records specific to IT goods and services.
- Assist the Procurement Manager throughout the IT purchasing process, from identifying IT procurement needs to vendor selection and negotiation.
- Conduct procurement reports to track and analyze IT procurement activities, such as purchase orders issued, vendor performance, and cost savings in the IT domain.
- Generate and issue Purchase Orders to IT vendors as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to understand their technology requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
- Maintain a comprehensive IT vendor database, including contact details, pricing, licensing information, and contract terms.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing IT procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and quality of IT goods and services.
- Assist in maintaining software licenses and tracking software compliance across the organization.
- Support IT asset management activities, including inventory tracking, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in IT procurement or purchasing, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and related technologies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools, as well as IT asset management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost optimization and risk mitigation.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and IT vendors.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the insurance industry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced IT environment.
