Duties:
1. To ensure proper building management and maintenance of the Cultural Centre, and liaise with the Architectural Services Department, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and their contractors in carrying out day-to-day, planned and ad-hoc maintenance and repair works of the Cultural Centre.
2. To make suggestions about additions, alternations and improvements in the EKCC building to upkeep the service standard, and follow up the works in the vicinity of the Cultural Centre with various government departments and their contractors
3. To assist in inventory control, and in the procurement of equipment/services for the EKCC including planning of schedule, drawing up of specifications and following up the procurement procedures and disposal of stores and equipment.
To follow up on Green Management and Occupational Safety, etc., prepare and update the building services manual, update building plans, drawings, and work schedule
4. To assist in the development and execution of accessibility, initiatives and oversee the provision of accessible facilities services at Cultural Centre
5. To serve as duty manager to ensure the smooth running of programmes, handle enquires and complaints, work irregular duty hours including typhoon duties, and perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers
6. To perform any other duties such as clerical work as assigned by Managers/Assistant Managers or any persons assigned by the Government Representative when required.
Requirement:
(a) Must be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and lawfully employable in Hong Kong
(b) Must be a holder of Bachelor's degree
(c) Must have good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
(d) Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing
(e) Must have at least three (3) years' full-time post-qualification working experience in the field of building management, venue operation, programme management, facility management in performing arts venues, cultural programme offices, museums or international conference and exhibition centres in Hong Kong. Relevant experience in building and contract management for premises is preferred.
(f) Be willing to work at outdoors and on shifts, including weekends and public holidays
(g) Must be mature with good interpersonal and conmunication skills;
(h) Should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, well-organised & detailed-minded
(i) Should be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
(j) Is preferably a holder of a valid certificate (generally known as Green Card 綠卡) who has received safety training recognised by the Commissioner for Labour under Section 6BA(2) of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, Cap. 59. Candidate expecting to obtain the Green Card within two (2) months after service commencement may also be considered
(k) Immediate availability is an advantage
Working Place: Kowloon Bay Cultural Centre Office
Working Hours: 09:30-18:30, Monday - Friday
Salary: $1310 per day
