Job Duties:
1) Assist in managing and coordinating the territory- wide art events and other public art projects.
2) Design and host guided tours, workshops and fringe activities to engage the public and facilitate public understanding of the programmes.
3) Provide research services as required including preparation of research reports, copywriting, editing and translation.
4) Draft, edit and proofread bilingual texts for the territory-wide art events and public art projects, including working schedules, presentations, publicity materials, statistics, and other documents.
5) Manage on-site operational and logistics work for projects, including recruiting, scheduling shifts, and handling payments for ambassadors and security guards.
6) Assist with online programmes and publicity on social media platforms.
7) Liaise and coordinate work with appointed contractors, working partners, artists, performers and other organisations/institutions.
8) Work outdoors to monitor the project progress.
9) Perform any ad hoc/other duties as assigned by the officers.
Requirement:
1) Be a permanent resident of the HKSAR.
2) Bachelor Degree or above from a Hong Kong or an Overseas University, or equivalent, with a major in Fine Arts / Visual Art / History of Art / Cultural Studies / Cultural Management/ Design or related subject.
3) At least 2 years of full time working experience in a local museum or art organisation. Relevant experience in organising at exhibitions, art projects and public art projects with administration work is preferable.
4) Speak native Cantonese and fluent English and Putonghua, good command of written Chinese and English.
5) The language proficiency met "Level 2" result in the Use of English paper and Level 1" result in the Use of Chinese paper in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent. (Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSE or Grade C in Use of English of the HKALE, Level 4 in Chinese Language of the HKDSE or Grade D in Chinese Language and Cultural or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE)
6) Effective computer knowledge skills including but not limited to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Chinese word processing.
7) Be proficient in using online media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and electronic devices.
8) Knowledge and skills in managing and taking photos and videos for social media platforms and information technology.
9) Patient, attentive to details, responsible manners, good presentation skills, well organised and efficient.
10) Great interest in contemporary art and related subjects; knowledge about local and international artists; be creative with a good sense of design and aesthetics.
11) Able to work independently and systematically, with strong oral and written communication, research and time management skills and self-motivated to handle and complete tasks on time and within tight deadlines.
12) Preferable to have customer service experience and effective interpersonal and communication skills in handling enquiries and complaints.
13) Fast and accurate typing skills in both Chinese and English.
Contract Period:
Mid- November 2025 - Mid-November 2026
Location: Oil Street Art Space
Service Time: 5 days work, 09:00-18:00 (Mon - Fri), 9 hours per day.
Salary: $140/ hour
