Responsibilities:
- Provide services and facilities to hirers and the public as instructed by the venue management in all hiring units or non-hiring units, both indoor and outdoor, as required for the operations of the venues
- Answer public enquiries at the information counter and front-of-house enquiry hotline and assist in typing, word processing for notices and reports
- Record, update/ tidy up the notice, publicity materials of hirers, such as posters, leaflets and pamphlets on display
- Perform admission control and ushering in different major facilities namely Auditorium and Black Box Theatre
- Lead the logistics team to setup the furniture in the two minor facilities namely Function Room 1 and 2 required by different hirers with particular pattern on daily basis before the hirers arrive and restore the facilities to original condition after use; and
- Perform any other operation duties and customer services as assigned by the senior officers of the venue management
- Coordinate with hirers and cleaning staff to arrange cleaning services; conduct daily patrols of indoor and outdoor areas to ensure cleanliness and tidiness; monitor facility usage, perform noise measurements when required, and report irregularities to venue management
- Assist hirers at the front-of-house area, including attendance counting and report preparation; manage crowd flow at admission points, box office queues, and outdoor areas; provide guidance and evacuation support during emergencies
- Provide manual work to setup and dismantle furniture and equipment at the hiring facilities when in shortage of manpower
- Setup and dismantle the queuing area when in urgent condition
Requirements:
- A permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administration Region and be lawfully employable in Hong Kong
- Completed Form 5 or above, or equivalent
- Good command of Chinese and English
- Able to speak fluent Cantonese, basic English and Putonghua
- Proficient in typing, Chinese word processing and computer software (Ms Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Physically fit for handling simple labour work
- At least 2 years full-time customer services work experience in one of the performance venues, museums or arts centres operated under the LCSD, and at least 1 year full time work experience in customer services in public or commerical sector
