CPMA (Recycling Manager) (Environmental Protection Department)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the contracts and monitor the operation of the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations of GREEN@COMMUNITY, perform a supervisory role in site inspections to the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations, and their related events/activities for compliance check
- Assist in strategic planning and programme development of community recycling network, investigate and provide responses to public enquiries and complaints concerning community recycling network
- Prepare and manage the contracts of facilities enhancement for community recycling network, prepare and update papers, information notes, guidelines, presentation decks and other necessary materials in relation to the community recycling network
- Lead, organize and monitor public education and promotion activities and events on Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations, train and coach teams for daily operations, and manage the performance of the non-civil servant staff
- Establish contact and liaise regularly with property management companies, District Council members, local representatives, resident/tenant group or organisations, etc. for collaborative efforts in education and promotion about Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations and perform any other duties assigned as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, education, social science, social work, sociology, communication, business administration, marketing, management, public administration or environmental management subject and technology subject, or equivalent
- At least 10 years relevant full-time post-qualification working experience in education, public relations, business management, liaison work, stakeholder engagement or planning and organisation of events/publicity, preferably in environmental protection and waste recycling, among which at least 5 years in supervisory level
- Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Strong planning, organisation and communication skills
- Good personality and inter-personal communication skills, self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Preference may be given to candidates with post-qualification work experience in managing recycling facilities
