The Hong Kong Jockey Club
Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Department
The Equestrian Affairs Department aims to fulfil the Club’s vision to promote riding as a sport and raise participation at all levels, from beginner through to elite. It oversees the management of four equestrian centres, including the Member’s facility at the Beas River Country Club and three public riding schools at Tuen Mun, Pok Fu Lam and Lei Yue Mun. The Beas River Equestrian Centre, being the largest in Hong Kong, houses 240 horses and provides world class facilities including a riding school, livery yard, competition centre, rehabilitation and retraining unit, as well as a spelling unit for Hong Kong’s racehorses. |
You will:
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the reception counter, including but not limited to coordinate horse riding lesson requests and pony ride booking, maintain records of lesson booking, pony ride booking and instructors schedule
- Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to coordinate with coach administrator for the lesson and horse arrangement, data input and reports preparation.
- Handle inquiries and requests via telephone, emails and text messages with regards to BREC and Riding School and provide excellent customer services to HKJC members and guests
- Handle members’ inquires in a courteous and efficient manner; report members’ complaints or issues to management
- Responsible for the general enquiries, retail sales and inventory control of the Tack Shop
- Performs other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

You should have:
- DSE or above, with customer service and administrative experience
- Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Good command in both spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin
Terms of Employment
Pay-rate:
HK$86.5 per hour
Working Schedule: 1- 2 days per week*
*Actual working hours would depend on operational needs.
Working Location: Sheung Shui
