Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Sports Business Division is responsible for the entire sports business portfolio and drives end-to-end commercial growth across horse racing, football, lottery, and emerging sporting opportunities. It focuses on strategic marketing to attract and retain diverse customer segments, leads the Racecourse Masterplan development, spearheads new ventures with global growth potential, and manages the sports wagering portfolio to drive revenue and profitability.
The Job:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding racing and betting information, as well as HKJC apps and website access.
- Provide support for RC events and promotional activities, including registration, gift redemption, on-site customer engagement and invitations, as well as post-event follow-up support.
- Proactively identify potential high-value customers and invite them to experience our exclusive High Value Lounge or RC venues.
- Assist the CRO in managing High Value Lounge operations, including escorting and bidding farewell to customers, fostering strong relationships with loyal customers, and addressing inquiries related to racing and betting. Observe and document customers’ betting behaviors and share insights with the CRO team at the end of race day.
- Gather and communicate customer insights and observations, particularly from loyal customers to the CRO team.
About You
You should have
- HKCEE/ DSE or above
- solid working experience in customer services area is an advantage
- passion, mature and independent
- familiar with smartphone and social media application
- well-mannered, good communication skills, and fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, capable to communicate in English
- knowledge in racing and betting is an advantage but not a must
Terms of Employment
Pay-rate: HK$103 per hour
Shift Hour:
- Day meeting (Sat/Sun/PH): 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
- Twilight meeting (Sat/Sun/PH): 1:30 pm - 9:00 pm (10 races) / 1:30pm – 9:30 pm (11 races)
- Night meeting (Wed): 4:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Average working hours are approximately 8.5 hours for day races and 6.5 hours for night races, roster schedules based on the HKJC racing calendar manpower requirements.
Working Location: Happy Valley Racecourse and Sha Tin Racecourse
