General Clerk 普通文員 (Department of Health 衛生署)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception and customer service, including but not limited to receiving and registering appointments, scheduling/ re-scheduling regular and urgent dental appointments, arranging referrals for patients and answering public enquires by phone or email, etc.
  • Communicate with different dental clinics to send in and send out the ward patients and prepare necessary documents
  • Provide office support, including searching and filing treatment cards, receiving and dispatching dental models, clinical records and various documents
  • Provide clerical support, including filing, typing, photocopying, compiling regular returns, operating computer systems, assisting in collecting statistical data, to offices/clinics in the Department
  • Perform relieving clerical duties if the General Clerks were assigned to dental clinics or offices on ad-hoc basis
  • Discharge any other duties as assigned by the supervisors


Requirements:

  • Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (“HKDSEE”), or equivalent; or have level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (“HKCEE”), or equivalent; and the qualifications shall be recognized by the Government Representative
  • Preferably have at least one year of full-time clerical working experience and/ or customer services working experience
  • Good knowledge in the application of common business software (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) English typing speed of 35 words per minute and Chinese typing speed of 25 words per minute
  • Be Able to speak English and fluent Cantonese; preferably be able to speak Mandarin
  • Be self-motivated
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
