Job Highlights:
- Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Arts
- 6 yrs+ venue stage manager & senior technical or production mgt exp
- 6 yrs+ exp in local major performing arts venue
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Theatre and Entertainment Arts (preferably majoring in Stage and Technical Management) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts or equivalent
- At least 6 years’ venue stage manager experience in major performing arts venue(s)
- At least 6 years’ senior technical or production management experience in local major performing arts venue(s)
- At least 3 years of venue management experience in major performing arts venues with a seating capacity of over 1,500
- At least 1 year’s experience in operating the TAIT flying system
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word processing
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and speak fluent Cantonese and English

Job Duties:
- To assist in preparation of procurements, replacement of stage equipment for upgrading/enhancement of stage technical facility provision
- To assist in preparation of daily/weekly/monthly administration work related to Stage sub-unit of the Venue;
- To co-ordinate and supervise stage operation and ensure that the fit-up, rigging, rehearsal, performance and strike are carried out smoothly and safely
- To work as the person-in-charge of the stage operation during rehearsals, event operations and performances
- To provide coaching and training for new junior staff members
- To hold technical meetings and liaise with hirers on technical requirements, provide professional advice, and deliver technical services and facilities support in accordance with the hiring schedule and required services
- To manage and operate the stage equipment according to operation manual and safety instructions
- To supervise a team of artisans/technicians to conduct daily operation
- To monitor the duty roster and attendance records of artisans/technicians
- To assist the Government Representative in preparing/updating technical data, equipment list, inventory record and to prepare/update technical drawings of the venues
- To coordinate with the other sub-sections and service contractors of the Venue in venue operation and to carry out any other duties related to stage management and operation as assigned by the Government Representative
