Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core secondary school English skills, covering reading comprehension, grammar, writing, and speaking.
- Provide structured, step-by-step guidance to help students complete their daily school homework and assignments effectively.
- Prepare students for upcoming dictations, tests, and standard examinations by closely monitoring their revision progress and holding them accountable for their results.
- Maintain a highly disciplined, focused, and structured learning environment that minimizes distractions, corrects off-task behavior, and sets high academic standards.
- Track student progress rigorously and implement prompt corrective measures for incomplete work, missed deadlines, or lack of effort.
Requirements:
- Degree holder or current university student in a relevant discipline.
- Fluency in English and the ability to speak Mandarin.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience with secondary school teenagers, specifically with a proven track record of managing unmotivated or easily distracted students.
- Familiarity with the local secondary school English curriculum and standard assessment methods.
- A firm, authoritative, and fair teaching style with the ability to command respect, enforce classroom rules, and establish clear boundaries.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills to handle multiple students' homework schedules.
