Role overview
We are seeking a Vice President, Product Department to lead product strategy, planning, and delivery across software development and technology consulting engagements. This role will translate client needs and business objectives into clear product roadmaps, actionable requirements, and measurable delivery outcomes.
Working closely with Business Development, clients, end users, and cross-functional delivery teams, the Vice President will oversee the full product lifecycle—from discovery and solution design through development, launch, and continuous optimisation—while establishing effective product management processes and documentation standards.
Key responsibilities
Lead product strategy, planning, and roadmap development, aligning product priorities with client requirements, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
Translate business and user needs into actionable product plans, clearly defined requirements, team OKRs, and measurable success criteria.
Define and prioritise product requirements, solution proposals, release plans, and iteration strategies, balancing business value, delivery effort, and project constraints.
Partner with Business Development to shape solution proposals, define project scope, and align client expectations with delivery capabilities.
Engage clients, end users, and internal stakeholders throughout discovery and delivery to validate needs, clarify requirements, and support informed product decisions.
Direct the end-to-end delivery of 0-to-1 product initiatives, covering discovery, solution design, requirements reviews, development, QA, phased rollout, and post-launch optimisation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, resolve delivery issues, and maintain alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, and quality expectations.
Establish and continuously improve product management processes, governance practices, and documentation standards to support consistent and scalable delivery.
Monitor product performance and delivery outcomes, using stakeholder feedback and relevant metrics to guide ongoing improvements.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in senior product management or product leadership roles within software development, technology consulting, or a related environment.
A proven track record of leading 0-to-1 software initiatives from discovery through launch and subsequent optimisation.
Strong capabilities in product strategy, roadmap planning, requirements definition, prioritisation, and release management.
Experience working directly with clients and commercial teams to translate business needs into practical, scalable software solutions.
A sound understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile delivery practices, quality assurance, and release planning.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
The ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on delivery oversight and manage competing demands across multiple engagements.
Experience establishing product processes, documentation standards, OKRs, and performance metrics.
