Position Summary
The Operations Officer plays a critical role in driving efficiency, yield optimization, and continuous improvement across our milk and ice cream processing and packaging operations. By leveraging data analysis, line metrics, and process observations, you will identify bottlenecks, reduce waste (OEE, yield loss, downtime), and implement standard operating improvements. Additionally, this role acts as a support to the Factory Manager, managing cross-departmental alignment, reporting, and execution of ad-hoc operational projects.
Jobs Requirements
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement (Core Focus)
- Operational Performance Tracking: Collect, clean, and analyze daily production data (processing efficiency, filling speeds, downtime, batch yields, raw milk utilization, and packaging waste).
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Apply Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies to identify root causes of operational bottlenecks and recommend data-backed solutions.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Maintain and enhance daily, weekly, and monthly operational KPIs (OEE, yield rates, scrap %, utility usage) for management reviews.
- Standardization & SOPs: Collaborate with shift supervisors to update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on process optimization findings.
- Work Measurement & Capacity Planning: Conduct time-and-motion studies, line balancing, and capacity utilization analyses across raw milk receiving, pasteurization, and high-speed packaging lines to eliminate non-value-added activities and optimize crew sizing.
- Flow & Ergonomics Optimization: Apply Industrial Engineering principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S layout design, material flow analysis) to streamline floor ergonomics, reduce product changeover times (SMED), and minimize material handling waste.
Factory Manager Support & Ad-Hoc Projects
- Project Coordination: Assist the Factory Manager in execution of special initiatives, such as new equipment integration, process validation runs, or factory audits.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Serve as a bridge between production, quality assurance (QA/QC), engineering, and relevant departments to resolve immediate operational issues.
- Meeting & Action Tracking: Help organize operational review meetings, compile presentation decks, and track follow-up action items on behalf of the Factory Manager.
- Ad-Hoc Operational Duties: Provide flexible, hands-on support for urgent factory tasks as directed by management.

Skills Requirements
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in plant operations, continuous improvement, or manufacturing process analysis (dairy, food & beverage, or fast-moving consumer goods/FMCG experience is a strong advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas) or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). Experience with ERP Systems (e.g. SAP) or MES is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or RCA tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
- Strong analytical mindset, adaptability for ad-hoc requests, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both floor operators and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
