About GCEG: As a subsidiary of the Great Entertainment Group, GCEG was set up to produce the AIA Carnival; one of the most anticipated and celebrated annual events in Hong Kong, offering a unique combination of entertainment, culture, and culinary experiences.
Role Overview: The AIA Carnival is seeking a Community Activation Manager to join our dynamic team and run our iconic Community Stage. Over 70 days, the community programme at the AIA Carnival will feature acts and activations by hundreds of community partners from a variety of pillars including Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Health & Wellness, Sports, Education and NGOs. With experience in community building, events or theatre, the ideal candidate will liaise with our Community Partners to create opportunities for them to connect with one another and the public. Within the AIA Carnival, they will curate exhibitions, concerts, showcases, panels, screenings, collaborative community art projects and more, to share the passion, talents and expertise that our Community offers. This is a full-time short-term position until March 2026.
Contract Duration: 1 November 2025 - 15 March 2026
Key Responsibilities:
-Design and execute activation concepts for our AIA Carnival Community Arena by engaging a variety of partners to participate.
-Expand database to assist community outreach
-Manage Sponsor activations
-Manage the Community Stage Programme Calendar and assist with partner bookings.
-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including marketing department, content creation team, designers, partners, and senior management) to ensure marketing initiatives are executed on time, in budget, and on brand
-Manage and execute onsite event marketing initiatives aligned with the marketing strategy
-Manage and coordinate community groups on site.
-Liaise with the site team, stage management team and AVL team to ensure logistical and technical requirements are met for each community event.
-Take initiative and proactively solve problems as they arise.
-Report on activations and collaborate with Community Director
-Handle ad hoc duties and special projects assigned by managers

-Strong communication skills in English and Chinese.
-Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.
-Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced event environment.
-Professional, polite and energetic.
-Flexibility to work outside of office hours to support the event as needed.
-Existing connections or experience working with Community organisations is a bonus.
