Front of house Customer Services Assistant (Civil Centre)

Main Job Responsibilities

1. To provide services and facilities to hirers and the public as instructed by the venue management in all hiring units or non-hiring units, both indoor and outdoor, as required for the operations of the venues

2. To answer public enquiries at the information counter and front-of-house enquiry hotline and assist in typing, word processing for notices and reports

3. To record, update / tidy up the notice, publicity materials of hirers, such as posters, leaflets and pamphlets on display

4. To perform admission control and ushering in different major facilities namely Auditorium and Black Box Theatre

5. To lead the logistics team to setup the furniture in the two minor facilities namely Function Room 1 and 2 required by different hirers with particular pattern on daily basis before the hirers arrive and restore the facilities to original condition after use

6. To perform any other operation duties and customer services as assigned by the senior officers of the venue management

7. To liaise with hirers and cleaners on site in arranging cleaning services for the facilities of the venue

8. To monitor the use of facilities at the front-of-house area for by hirer, such as counting of attendance and preparing relevant reports

9. To perform crowd control duties at the admission area of the major facilities or at the foyer; and the queuing point of the box office or outdoor areas as required for the operation of the venue

10. To perform noise measurement duties in outdoor areas for outdoor activities when required

11. To perform daily patrolling of indoor area and outdoor area to make sure the facilities are in tidy and clean condition and prepare relevant reports

12. To observe and report irregularities to the venue management and to perform necessary guiding services and evacuation service when in emergency condition.

13. To  provide manual work to setup and dismantle furniture and equipment at the hiring facilities when in shortage of manpower; and to setup and dismantle the queuing area when in urgent condition

Qualification Requirements

(1) A permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administration Region and be lawfully employable in Hong Kong

(2) Completed Form 5 or above, or equivalent

(3) Have good command of Chinese and English

(4) Be able to speak fluent Cantonese, basic English and Mandarin

(5) Be proficient in typing, Chinese word processing and computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

(6) Be physically fit for handling simple labour work

(7) Have at least 1-year full-time customer services working experience in one of the performance venues, museums or art centres operated under the Government or exhibition centres or club houses, commercial centres or shopping malls in commercial sector or other public facilities.

Working Location: 

Tai Po Civic Centre (Primary service location), Sha Tin Town Hall and North District Town Hall

Working Hour: 

0730-1530/ 0800-1600/ 0830-1630/ 1000-1800/ 1500-2300/ 1530-2330, 8 hours per day with pay meal break, working schedule including Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays

Contract Period: July 2025 - June 2026

Salary: $88 /hour
