NETBALL HEAD COACH

Are you looking for a new adventure based in the vibrant city of Hong Kong? A unique opportunity has arisen for a full-time Head Coach for the Netball section at the renowned Hong Kong Cricket Club. The Head Coach will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of netball programs and strategies to achieve optimum success for both Junior and Senior netballers of the Hong Kong Cricket Club.
As the Head Coach you will be responsible for leading all aspects of technical and performance standards of the players as well as managing the administration and strategy behind the scenes to ensure the section runs smoothly.
You will act as a mentor and manager to the part-time and volunteer coaches for the section, working with them as a group and individually to upskill and inspire them for the benefit of the players. You will report directly to the Sports Development Manager for the Hong Kong Cricket Club and work closely with the Netball Convenor.
As a result of your leadership and planning, you will build increased capacity to the section, improve the skills of the players and the coaches and implement the best possible coaching structure for the HKCC Netball Section.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience: Australian Development Level / England Level 2 / NZ CCA Level or equivalent as minimum
- Proven track record of success coaching within Junior and Senior netball competitions
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate and develop both players and coaches
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Good IT skills

Situated in the heart of Hong Kong Island, The Hong Kong Cricket Club (www.hkcc.org) was founded in 1851 and has provided sports and recreational activities to Members and the wider community for 175 years. The Club is a leader in league cricket, hockey, lawn bowls, netball, squash, tennis and a host of other activities. HKCC operates eight food and beverage facilities in the heart of Hong Kong Island surrounded by the hills and greenery of Wong Nai Chung Gap.
The HKCC Netball section currently consists of circa 100 players across 6 training and 2 non-training teams in the Senior League and circa 200 Juniors across 22 teams from under 8s to under 19s competitions. The Senior teams participate in the Netball Hong Kong, China Ladies League, playing on Monday evenings from September through to April each year. The Junior teams compete on either a Saturday or Sunday, depending on the time of the year. We are an inclusive section and are proud to cater for all levels of experience and ability.
