The Hong Kong Cricket Club – Asia’s oldest cricket club employs over 200 staff and is seeking high-calibre, dynamic candidates for the position of Barista Supervisor. This role will be based at our restaurant, Dot Cod, located in Central.
Barista Supervisor
Responsibilities
To deliver and maintain high-quality, consistent food and beverage experiences in line with company standards. The role aims to promote specialty coffee knowledge and strengthen the brand’s image through excellence in service and professionalism.
Act as a brand ambassador, exemplifying professionalism in demeanor, appearance, and respect for others.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in building a positive, engaging, and inclusive work environment.
• Train, coach, and motivate baristas to uphold service standards and achieve performance goals.
• Provide real-time feedback to elevate team performance and enhance customer interactions.
• Assist with onboarding, development, and retention of café staff.
• Serve as acting manager when required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Operational Duties
• Learn and execute all areas of café operations, including barista, cashier, and service roles.
• Demonstrate strong coffee knowledge, including the ability to describe and prepare different coffees, brewing methods, and equipment.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality.
• Maintain high hygiene and safety standards throughout the workspace.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
• Passion for specialty coffee and a desire to grow within the industry.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding service and customer satisfaction.
• Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to changing situations.
