Job Overview:
As a part-time SEO/SEM Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance our website’s organic visibility in search engines and effectively drive targeted traffic and sales growth through paid advertising campaigns. You will be a key contributor to the growth of our online business.
Key Responsibilities:
Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
Conduct comprehensive SEO audits of the website to identify and resolve technical issues, on-page content problems, and crawling errors.
Perform in-depth keyword research to uncover new opportunities for content creation and optimization.
Optimize existing website content (product pages, blog posts, etc.), including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and image ALT tags.
Develop and execute high-quality backlink building and other off-page SEO strategies.
Regularly monitor, analyze, and report on website rankings, traffic, and performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) / Paid Advertising:
Create, manage, and optimize pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns, primarily on Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising platforms.
Conduct keyword research, write ad copy, and design A/B testing plans to continuously improve ad performance (CTR, Conversion Rate).
Meticulously manage advertising budgets, monitor Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and ensure a positive Return on Investment (ROI).
Set up and manage remarketing campaigns to re-engage website visitors.
Content and Data Analysis:
Collaborate with the content team to plan new blog topics and content based on SEO keyword strategies.
Regularly provide detailed performance reports showcasing trends, insights, and recommendations for key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications:
Practical experience in SEO/SEM, preferably in e-commerce or a related industry.
Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console, with the ability to independently analyze and interpret data.
Hands-on experience in successfully managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns, with a deep understanding of bidding strategies and ad auctions.
Familiarity with mainstream SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar).
Understanding of technical SEO fundamentals (e.g., website speed, mobile optimization, structured data).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to report progress clearly.
Self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively in a remote work environment.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience working in the pet products industry, e-commerce, or startups.
Experience with other digital marketing channels (e.g., social media advertising, email marketing).
