About the Position
This position will primarily focus on video editing to support SPCA's communications efforts. This role will involve combining footage from various sources, such as vet interviews and rescue moments of inspectorate team, to create engaging content that promotes SPCA's goals and messages.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Video Editing:
- Edit and produce high-quality videos that align with SPCA's messaging and branding.
- Combine footage from various sources, including vet sharing sessions and inspectorate team rescues, to create compelling narratives that tug at the heartstrings.
- Content Creation & Interactive Reels:
- Create captivating interactive reels that engage our audience and encourage sharing, helping to spread the word about SPCA’s work and enhances visibility.
- Contribute creative ideas for video projects that align with SPCA’s mission and objectives.
- Social Media Engagement:
- Utilize knowledge of current trends on social media platforms to optimize video content for broader reach and engagement.
- Assist in managing SPCA’s social media accounts by providing video content that resonates with the audience.
- Animation Editing (a plus):
- If applicable, incorporate animation elements into videos to enhance storytelling and engagement.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of video content.
- Maintain communication with other departments to gather necessary footage and insights.
Qualification & Requirements
- Students, especially those who can commit to at least two full days per week, are warmly welcomed to apply.
- Proficient in mobile video editing using applications such as Instagram Edits and CapCut.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and VideoStudio is an advantage.
- Solid experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio and a short highlight reel (30–60 seconds) showcasing creativity and technical skills.
- Familiarity with video shooting techniques and storytelling is a plus, especially for candidates passionate about creating engaging visual content and capable of producing compelling, emotional reels while identifying key story points from long-form videos to edit into short, impactful reels.
- Strong understanding of digital and social media trends, combined with a marketing mindset to attract engagement and effectively promote SPCA's goals.
- Experience in animation editing is a delightful bonus.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
