Responsibilities
- Handle calls (enquiries, requests and phone calls) from colleagues, members, general public, government departments and other agencies etc.
- Handle enquires and requests coming through the SPCA Inspectorate Hotline promptly and in professional manner, and record the details (caller information, contents and relevant details as required) accurately in accordance with the approved method and system.
- Pass calls to the appropriate members of the Inspectorate Team for response actions and update appropriate records.
- Liaise with colleagues or other relevant persons in response to the different calls received and make appropriate records.
- Liaise with other agencies as and when required and make appropriate records.
- Monitor and record result of action taken by colleagues.
- Assist the unit in any other lawful duties including clerical and outdoor support duties etc. as and when required.
Requirements
- Secondary education or above with at least three years' relevant experience.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese, proficient in spoken Putonghua will be advantage.
- Good communication skills and demonstrate excellent telephone manner.
- Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
- Able to deal with difficult callers.
- Friendly, outgoing, self-initiative and able to work under pressure.
- Ready to work on shift duties (two-days on and two-days off) with 12 hours per shift.
- Amenable to discipline.
- Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals.
- A valid driving license (Class 1 and 2) with relevant driving experience will be an advantage.
